And at Mountain West Medical Center, we also offer MammoPad®, a soft cushion that makes your experience more comfortable.

A screening mammogram can help detect breast cancer in its earliest and most treatable stages. The American Cancer Society recommends mammograms each year for women 40 and older, or for younger women considered to be at risk. Stereotactic Breast Biopsy

If you’ve found a lump in your breast, your first step should be to see your physician. Mountain West Medical Center has the capabilities to perform stereotactic breast biopsy, a safe and minimally invasive procedure to diagnose your condition.

A high-quality, efficient technique, stereotactic breast biopsy obtains tiny samples from abnormal areas found on a mammogram. Computer-guided imaging locates a sample of suspicious breast tissue, and a small needle removes it. This outpatient procedure requires no hospitalization or surgical incision and is performed using only local anesthesia.
